About Us
Janet Ackerman, ZIN™ 165, creator of ZumbaAtlanta.com is a licensed Zumba© instructor, trained in Atlanta by Beto Perez in 2002.
Janet is an international data privacy professional by day and a global fitness Zumba© and fitness entertainer by night. Janet brings a lifetime of passions, culture and her global professional experiences to her Zumba© classes and events. She has over 20 years of fitness and business experience in instructing, educating and motivating clients to achieve better health, lifestyle and athletic performance. Her goal is to motivate students to achieve “Personal Fitness Responsibility” and learn that exercising is “fun.” Janet is a certified international group fitness professional, personal trainer and presenter. She has performed in Latin America, China and India and holds several national and international certifications.
Over the past 18 years, and early on in her Zumba career she created ZumbaAtlanta.com as a platform for grass roots marketing, communication for instructors, and an educational tool for consumers. Janet assisted the CEO and management team to provide field information and business tactics which are still found in the Zumba© brand and product solution today. Combining her passions for international business and cultures, and love for music, dance and fitness is why Janet added Zumba© to her portfolio and why she still has it today! Come join in on the fun in this global rhythms and dance fitness class.
